Nineteenth Century Rio Rosewood Card Table

A lot of the brass stringing to the base of this table was missing along with the rosewood crossbanding. This was replaced using old surface rosewood. The brass was replaced where missing being degreased with garlic before being stuck down

Light marks to the top were removed with oxalic acid and all surfaces were then polished This table was featured in a centre page article on my company published in The Art Quarterly. The magazine of The Arts Collection Fund patron The Queen
